Come join Charlie Brown, Sally, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and Schroeder as they deal with the highs and lows of first-love, school, baseball and the search for happiness! Featuring delightful songs such as ‘My New Philosophy’, ‘The Kite’, and ‘Beethoven Day’, everyone’s favourite Peanuts characters come to life in this whimsical musical that is bound to be fun for the whole family!
On October 2nd, 1950, Charles M. Schulz published the first of one of the most popular and influential comic strips in history: Peanuts. Through it’s 17,897 total published strips, he introduced to the world some of the most recognizable characters in Western comic history.
The Peanuts gang has seen numerous incarnations since their initial release, having both movie and television spinoffs. However, it wasn’t until 1967 that the Peanuts gang would first grace the stage off-Broadway in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, which was later revised and revived on Broadway in 1999. You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a show that follows the everyday lives of six of these beloved characters: Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder, Snoopy and the endearing blockhead himself, Charlie Brown. This show has something for the entire family, allowing both parents and grand-parents to introduce these timeless characters they grew up with to their children and grand-children.
As a first-time director, I couldn’t have asked for a more dynamic, hardworking and talented cast and crew to work with. Everyone has been working tirelessly for months on end to bring the world of Peanuts to life. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
